It is true that being away makes it difficult to stay in touch.
We have been together more than five months. Maybe we get bored for being together.

A Journey to the State

It has been a wonderful experience to be on the state.
To come to the state was an innate dream for me from the moment I decided to be a teacher. I used to hear, read, listen I teach from my own perspectives relying on what I have learnt from my school days. Being in the state is a unique experience. It is giving me more energy to teach and speak about culture issues in both countries. It makes me more aware of my environment through comparisons and analogies.

I am still struggling to better my speak skills using English as a single medium, though I am a language teacher in my home country and have been teaching for more than 14 years. The fact of ‘plunging' in the American education and culture may enable one to understand not this culture, but his own culture as well.

It is enlivening to have other people from different countries to benefit from their experiences and learn from their special uniqueness. The 18 visiting scholars to Kent Sate University is a distinctive know-how to deal with all cultural differences. Sometimes, I would be uncomfortable which comportment I adopt to carry on effective conversation with my colleagues from different countries, especially from the state.
